Can anyone enlighten me on the alleged shootings down in Mexico really close to our border? I'm not sure if all of this is true or not. I heard something
about it on CBS news.
Including all the juicy bits would be much appreciated.

Drug war - there's been fighting for years, including murders of judges and police. The death toll last year alone was about 5600.
Now there's been some more money, including some from the US, to train police. This has lead to a sweep and arrest of many members of the Juarez based Sinaloa cartel. Whether this has any effect; positive or negative, is yet to be seen. Juicy bits? It's a tragedy. Families killed and dumped into open pits. It could cause the collapse of the government, as their perceived inability to deal with the crisis is causing foreign investment to dry up. |
